Orizon Aerostructures Announces their continuing partnership with the City of Chanute, KS

 

On Tuesday September 24th, 2019, Orizon broke ground on a new 120,000 square foot expansion.  This addition will be used for assembling a significant section of the Boeing 737 fuselage for Spirit AeroSystems. Subject to meeting defined employment guidelines, the City of Chanute has promised to provide economic benefit which will assist Orizon expand their aerospace presence in Chanute.

When complete, the Orizon – Chanute Campus will include one of America’s most modern and efficient processing facilities, as well as dedicated assembly facilities.  Presently employing 320 Associates, when the expansion is complete, they expect to employ 420 – 470 employees with total square footage of nearly 300,000 square feet.
