ENGINEERING:  With the most talented Engineers, Programmers, and Developers located in the Midwest, our engineering department, uses proprietary machining methodology and program techniques.

This team specializes in computer numerical control (CNC) programming of 3-, 4-, 5- and 6-axis for manufacture in any Aerospace, Defense, and Space.   Using the latest technology and machining methods, including multiple seats of CATIA and NX, our staff of programmers is diverse, but focused on the same singular goal: To always deliver a quality product on-time.

We offer engineering and programming services to 3rd party customers to design processes, tools, fixtures and CNC programs to fit your needs. Our experience is used to determine the best solution for your application, and design tools to hold your part for the most productive practices.

Engineering services include:

  • Tooling design

  • Solid modeling with CATIA 3D

  • Process documentation with a highly visual yet simple approach to setups and processes

  • CNC programming with CATIA and NX

  • Vericut machine simulation

  • CMM programming, including FAI creation/documentation, derivative drawing creation and 3D modeling from 2D drawings.

ONBOARDING: Orizon services start with robust estimation processes including ELT reviews from raw materials, chemical finishing, supply chain products, intercompany manufacturing, assembly and non-recurring engineering cost.  Upon receipt of customer awards our contract administration team develops and presents kickoff meetings with all facilities supporting the awarded products utilizing the original estimates.  To ensure all pre ERP activity is completed Orizon developed an internal integrated intranet system which assigns, schedules and statuses all new work or product changes. The data utilized in this intranet system, called Q, is live digital data providing tools for decision making and prioritization. Onboarding starts with the aforementioned kickoff meeting which flows into one multi-site ERP item setup, manufacturing bill of material (MBOM) creation, MBOM review\acceptance, forecasting setup, vendor contract management, NC programming, fixture design, fixture manufacturing, assembly visual aids, quality engineering documentation creation, and CMM programming.

The Onboarding activity is supported by a dedicated team of Business Development, Estimator, Contract Administrators, Manufacturing Engineers, Supply Chain Specialist, and Quality Engineers.  As each phase of the onboarding process is completed manufacturing sites are assigned reviews\buyoffs within the schedule.  This assures estimated cycle times and non-recurring cost for the site manufacturing processes have been adhered to.  After any updates and\or corrections are completed by the Onboarding team the digital data is handed off to our Manufacturing teams to ensure timely completion of tasks. Manufacturing sites control their activity within the same Onboarding system dedicated to their site and teams to control fixture manufacturing, machine and\or assembly development, quality inspection, quality acceptance and customer shipment.
